Pacific Alloy begins the new year with two major construction projects:

January 2008
All modernization projects are complete in Melt, Mold, and Cleaning departments. Melting dept. capacity was increased by 80% to 75 tons per day, the latest electronic melt controls were added to existing power supplies for increased efficiency and improved maintenance.

February 2008
New water based flow coating system added to existing NoBake Molding line for improved casting finish, higher production rate and reduced consumption of volatile chemicals.

March 2008
Happy Birthday, 128 years old! First Foundry in the Leach family started in Portland, Oregon, March 17th, 1880 named Excelsior Iron Works. They produced window sash weights and wood burning stoves for the rapidly growing Northwest territory.
